Ms. Grace Haddick is a passionate and dedicated mathematics educator with strong expertise in teaching upper-level math courses while also experienced in working with students across all grade levels. She has taught Algebra I & II, Geometry, and advanced STEM electives to high school students, helping them develop confidence, logical reasoning, and a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics. At the same time, she enjoys supporting younger learners in building strong foundational math skills and curiosity for problem-solving. With her solid background in both mathematics and science, she designs lessons that are rigorous yet approachable, allowing students of all ages to see the real-world applications behind mathematical concepts.

Ms. Haddick holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in STEM Education, Mid-Level Mathematics, and Mid-Level Science from Central Washington University, along with a Washington State Teaching Certificate for Grades 5–9 Mathematics and Science. During her time at CWU, she worked with the Northwest Earth and Space Science Pathways program to design astronomy-based and game-based lessons that encouraged critical thinking and engagement. Her teaching career at Ellensburg Christian School allowed her to refine her instructional techniques with high school learners, where she taught multiple levels of mathematics while integrating project-based and cross-disciplinary learning experiences.

In the classroom, Ms. Haddick adopts a student-centered, inquiry-based approach. She believes in fostering an environment of trust and collaboration where students actively participate in the learning process. Her lessons emphasize asking questions, exploring multiple solution paths, and developing a strong sense of mathematical reasoning. She encourages a growth mindset and helps students view challenges not as barriers but as opportunities for deeper learning. Through clear explanations, real-life examples, and personalized support, she ensures that every student—whether they are just beginning their math journey or preparing for advanced problem-solving—feels both challenged and capable.

Beyond her teaching expertise, Ms. Haddick is a lifelong learner who continuously seeks innovative ways to make mathematics engaging and meaningful. She is proficient in educational technology tools such as Google Classroom, Canvas, Kahoot, Blooket, and Gimkit, which she uses to enhance classroom interactivity. Her commitment and excellence have earned her recognition as one of the Top 10 Student Teachers of the Year (2022–2023).

Outside the classroom, Ms. Haddick enjoys crafting, exploring nature, and spending time with her family. She and her husband love hiking, visiting tide pools, and exploring historical sites, often accompanied by their two pets, Moose the dog and Spot the cat. Her curiosity, creativity, and warmth extend naturally into her teaching, where she strives to inspire students not only to excel in mathematics but also to develop a lifelong appreciation for learning.
