Mr. Vini is a highly experienced and versatile educator with more than 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience. He has worked with students from Kindergarten through high school, as well as college students, across a wide range of academic levels, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds. His multidisciplinary background in education, psychology, neuroscience, cognition, mathematics, English language arts, and scientific research allows him to support students across multiple subjects and grade levels.

Mr. Vini holds a Master of Science in Cognition and Learning from Florida State University, with a concentration in Developmental Psychology and Student-Centered Pedagogy. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In addition, he earned professional certificates in College Teaching and Online Teaching from Florida State University and completed a 150-hour TESOL certification through Arizona State University.

Throughout his teaching career, Mr. Vini has worked extensively with K–12 students in Mathematics, English Language Arts (ELA), Reading, Writing, and ESL, with additional experience in Singapore Math, Math & Logic, AMC-related mathematics, phonics, vocabulary development, and advanced writing. At the college level, he has also tutored English, Humanities, Philosophy, Psychology, Critical Thinking, rhetorical writing, and APA scientific writing. His broad academic background allows him to work with students who need foundational support as well as those ready for more advanced academic challenges.

Mr. Vini also brings a strong science and research background. His studies in Psychology and Neuroscience included cognitive psychology and neuroscience laboratory research, experimental design, statistical analysis, scientific writing, and neuropsychology. This academic and research experience provides a strong foundation for supporting scientific concepts, reasoning, research, and academic scientific writing.

Mr. Vini believes effective teaching goes beyond helping students complete assignments or memorize information. He focuses on understanding why a student is struggling and identifying the strategies that will help the student move forward. Using guided discovery, Socratic questioning, inquiry-based learning, productive struggle, and structured scaffolding, he encourages students to think independently, explain their reasoning, make connections, and develop stronger problem-solving skills.

Because every student learns differently, Mr. Vini adapts his instruction to each student’s strengths, challenges, goals, and learning style. He has extensive experience supporting both native English speakers and multilingual learners and is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Whether a student is strengthening foundational skills, advancing in mathematics, improving reading and writing, developing English proficiency, or exploring psychology and science-related concepts, his goal is to provide instruction that is personalized, appropriately challenging, and engaging.

Ultimately, Mr. Vini strives to help students become confident, capable, and independent learners. By combining his broad K–12 teaching experience with expertise in Mathematics and English, ESL training, Psychology and Neuroscience education, and scientific research experience, he helps students build the academic skills, critical thinking, and confidence they need to succeed across subjects and beyond the classroom.
